Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the DreamBridge mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you and DreamBridge ("we", "us", or "our"). You represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

DreamBridge provides an AI-powered dream journaling application for iOS. The Service allows users to record dream descriptions by voice, receive AI-generated interpretations powered by Anthropic's Claude, and review patterns across their recorded dreams over time. Dream data is stored locally on your device by default; optional cloud backup is available via a DreamBridge account.

Core dream journaling and AI interpretation features are available without an account. The free tier includes 5 dreams per calendar month and 5 AI interpretations per day. Cloud sync and extended journal history require a DreamBridge account. Premium features are available via DreamBridge Premium subscription.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time without prior notice.

AI dream interpretations are generated by large language model technology. They are provided for personal reflection and entertainment purposes only and do not constitute medical, psychological, therapeutic, psychiatric, or professional advice of any kind. Do not make medical or life decisions based on dream interpretations.

An account is not required to use DreamBridge's core dream journaling and AI interpretation features. An account is required to access cloud sync and extended journal history. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@dreambridge.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in activity harmful to other users or the Service.

You may not create more than one account per person or transfer your account to another individual.

DreamBridge offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription ("DreamBridge Premium"). Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store via In-App Purchase and managed through RevenueCat. Available plans are: dreambridge_pro_monthly (billed monthly) and dreambridge_pro_annual (billed annually). All purchases are subject to Apple's payment terms and policies.

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

All payments are processed by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not independently offer refunds for App Store purchases.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will be communicated via in-app notification and will take effect at the start of your next renewal period.

A free trial may be offered at our discretion. Only one free trial per Apple ID is permitted. After the trial period, your subscription will convert to a paid plan at the then-current rate unless cancelled.

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including voice recordings, dream transcriptions, and notes ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant DreamBridge a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service — including routing dream text through our secure server-side proxy to our AI partner for interpretation (voice recordings are transcribed locally on your device). This licence is revoked when you delete your content or account.

We do not use your User Content to train AI models, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose beyond operating the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights. You may not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Dream interpretations provided by DreamBridge are generated by Anthropic's Claude AI and are for personal reflection and entertainment purposes only.

Before any dream text is sent for AI interpretation, the app requires explicit consent via an in-app dialog that identifies Anthropic as the recipient and describes what data is shared. No data is transmitted if you decline.

AI-generated interpretations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not relevant to your personal circumstances. DreamBridge makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of any interpretation.

DreamBridge is not a licensed healthcare provider. The Service does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are concerned about your wellbeing, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

You assume full responsibility for how you use or act upon any interpretation provided by the Service.

You agree to use the Service only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not:

(a) Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app; (b) use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape the Service; (c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure; (d) use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content; (e) impersonate any person or entity; (f) resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user who violates these restrictions.

All content, design, software, trademarks, logos, and technology comprising the Service are owned by DreamBridge or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without our prior written consent.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the DreamBridge app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at dreambridge.app/privacy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy, including the processing of dream content via our AI partner.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DREAMBRIDGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DreamBridge and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will continue in effect.

We will retain and delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

You and DreamBridge agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class or representative action.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that does not permit mandatory arbitration, the foregoing arbitration clause does not apply to you.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DreamBridge regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
